A community is a group of people who share some interests or activities and who have something in common, like living in the same place or belonging to the same organization.
The word community has several different but related meanings: it can refer to a place where people live; it can also refer to a group of people, as in “the gay/black/Jewish community”; and it can describe any group that shares some interest or activity.
